Mission Statement
Providing Compassionate, confidential and quality care. Bemis Psychotherapy and Consulting strives to provide a positive, warm and welcoming environment to support your journey. An environment that is sensitive to each individual's culture. Mental health and wellness can be difficult to attain and sustain at various points in life. And, the journey through life can take many twists and turns. Mental Health includes our emotional, psychological and social well-being. It can fluctuate throughout life and be affected by circumstances, physical issues and life changes. Anxiety, depression, attention issues, mood, can be managed with cognitive tools and techniques. These conditions can be treated, stabilized and mental balance attained. Life circumstances such as stress, grief and loss, trauma, break-ups, moves, job changes, developmental stages and problems that impact your mental health can be significantly improved with psychotherapy. Wellness is about balance in life.

Personal Statement
I believe every person goes through a period of mental health crises at one point in time their life. Some have more struggles with maintaining mental health stability than others. If we can reduce the stigma around mental health issues, provide compassion and access to quality care, and support wellness in our life and those around us, we would all be in a better place. Wellness is a journey with many dips and high points along the way. My job as a psychotherapist is to create a container of space to support a person's desire to self-reflect, make changes, learn coping skills and find balance in their wellness domains: Social, Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Occupational, Environmental and Spiritual. When these domains are out of balance in some way, it impacts your moods, your thinking and the quality of your life.
