Mission Statement
It is my highest aim to empower and assist others in their pursuit of wellness through the embodied practices of Pilates and yoga. During classes and private sessions, I strive to create an safe and energized atmosphere that engenders a sense of somatic exploration for my clients. I tailor every session to the bodies and minds of my students, and help each student engage with the work on both a mental and kinesthetic level through imagery and unique cues. I collaborate with clients long-term to improve functional strength, work towards specific fitness goals, and improve overall wellness. In the pursuit of wellness, It is my greatest pleasure to learn alongside (and from) my students.

History Of Practice
Mind/Body Instructor (2013-2017): I taught hour-long yoga and Pilates Mat fitness sessions for students, staff, and community members. I also mentored new instructors by co-teaching classes, holding weekly conferences, writing and conducting peer evaluations, and co-leading a yearly instructor training program. SUP Yoga Instructor (2015-present): Goal? Get more people active outside. As an initiative to promote healthy outdoor activity, I wrote and introduced the Terrace and Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga Program at Memorial Union. What was an independent project now has a team of five instructors and over 1,700 participants. Pilates Instructor (2017-present): I design and teach weekly Pilates equipment classes and one-hour, private sessions. I use my training in anatomy and movement to adapt exercises to fit a wide range of ages and abilities, helping clients develop better balance, functional strength, and mobility in their body.

Personal Statement
I have been practicing yoga and Pilates for seven years, and have been teaching these two practices for almost six. I first discovered Pilates during undergrad, and was instantly captivated by the level of mental engagement demanded by this physical practice. Regular practice afforded me the ability to move with more strength and and breathe with more ease. My teaching is centered around my excitement to help my students experience this empowerment of mind and body.

Upcoming Projects
I am currently hoping to gain admittance to a doctoral program in Physical Therapy.
