Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) invites you to explore moving your body at your own speed and on your own terms, using gentle yoga forms. It’s a chance to spend time being with yourself without an agenda: noticing the present moment; making choices for how to be in, and with, your own body; gently reconnecting with the many parts of your self as you feel ready to. There are no physical adjustments in TCTSY, and no pressure: you are welcome to come as you are.

The TCTSY practice series at the Shambhala Center is for people who are healing from complex or relational trauma. The series costs $100 or sliding scale, for five sessions plus audio and visual support materials on trauma and body-centered healing. It is also available to clients of the Dane County Comprehensive Community Services program, who can have their tuition covered by the county (to learn more, visit https://www.danecountyhumanservices.org/ccs/clnt/apply.aspx)

To register and pay for the series, please go to: https://madison.shambhala.org/program-details

TCTSY was developed as an evidence-based adjunct therapy for complex trauma at the Trauma Center of MA, by David Emerson, author of Overcoming Trauma with Yoga, in collaboration with brain researchers, therapists, and people living with complex relational trauma.
